Floods on dry ground

“Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink” (John 7:37).
“I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground” (Isa. 44:3).

Here is a promise to those who are thirsty! How generous God is! How He loves to open the riches of His grace! God is not content with just a shower of grace; He loves to give so that all are filled, and so He uses the word “floods.” Lay hold on that word “floods,” because it is the promise and the measure of God—“floods upon the dry ground.”
Now this is what God offers to do for us here: in the wilderness of this world to give the water that really satisfies, that meets your need, that saves you from sin, and fills you with joy and peace in believing, that water of life that brings spiritual power and blessing.
